This picture shows the tank with gold base coat and hand laid flames with fine line tape.

Four coats of red (Brandywine) candy base coat was sprayed on taped off area then the "flaming skull" was airbrushed with the aid of a machine cut stencil.

The whole tank was given three coats of Brandywine candy base followed by 5 coats of urethane clear. This was then wet sanded and polished. Wet sanding removes all orange peel and imperfections that distort the reflection in your paint job. This is what painters call the "mirror look," it is labor intense but the look is unbeatable!

The complete bike in a outdoor show.
